Lewis Melville and "Afganistan....On Guard For Thee?"
Today's three post series is dedicated to Lewis Melville and the project "Afganistan....On Guard For Thee?"Lewis has contributed a kings ransom to the cultural capital of Guelph over the 20 plus year's I've known him. Quite simply, he is a creative genius.Lewis runs a very busy recording studio in Guelph, performs with countless musicians - including his life partner Tannis Slimmon and thinks up inspired projects like "Afganistan....On Guard For Thee?" - a creative, interactive, multi-disciplinary exploration of Canada's involvement in the Afghanistan War. Keep reading today's series for more details. This painting of Lew was done on June 26, 2000 by Guelph artist Greg Denton as part of his Anyone Lived project.
